- They're very sensitive
A cat's whiskers are extremely sensitive to the environment as the area around them is surrounded by blood vessels and nerves. The tips can even detect a slight change in the wind!
They aren't just on their nose!
Your kitty has a few whiskers around her nose and some near her eyes as well. your kitty also has whiskers on the chin, and on the back of her legs.
They help the cat figure out if she'll fit
Whiskers actually help your fur baby to figure out whether or not she'll fit through an opening.
They change color
Pure black cats get grey whiskers as they age---like humans get white hair!
They help the kitty position her prey
Whiskers help kitties figure out the proper position to make a fatal bite to kill her prey in one go.
