Cats are completely different creatures than human beings so when you get yourself a new kitty; there are some questions that you need to know the answer to---no matter how stupid the problem may sound to others!
In this blog post, I will answer the question, “How often do cats poop?”in as much detail as I possibly can so that you know all that you need to about nature’s call.
Generally, kittens defecate multiple times a day while older cats go every day. As your cat ages, the frequency decreases. However, if you see any concerning changes, you should go to the vet immediately.
If you feed your cat low-quality food, the chances are that your cat will have more significant and more frequent bowel movements since the bulk of the food is unusable for the body. If you feed your kitty too much food, she will have larger and frequent bowel movements as well.
Cats that are fed dry food often get easily constipated so; it is a good idea to introduce at least one liquid meal to your cat’s diet.
If you cat is a lazy bum and not at all active, the chances are that she won’t have a bowel movement as often as an active cat does.
Generally, a healthy adult cat poops at least once a day. There are a lot of factors that this frequency depends on. However, if you notice any unusual changes, take your kitty to the vet for a check-up.
